Phase Two is on the horizon, and I am officially all nice and registered for my half-marathon for April! It works into the schedule perfectly (and by perfectly, I mean that it was the only half-marathon being held within a 200 mile radius on the day I needed), so we’re obviously meant to be. I’ll need to remember flowers. Maybe a bottle of Gatorade. I don’t know; what do half-marathons like? I’ve never met one before.
That being said, there is a small character flaw: there are no Ipods/MP3 devices/headphones allowed! O_o
I’m sure to many of you seasoned, real runners, you have that hardcore zen head-space, so this isn’t an issue. So I ask you: what exactly do you do when music outlawed? I mean, are we living in 1984? Who do these people think they are? They might need to be Footloose-d.
(Yes, I know it’s for safety, etc. I’m just going to have to figure out how to run with my childhood boombox. WHERE ARE MY MIX TAPES??)
